What can I cook with the ingredients in my photo?

That is what Your Fridge helps you explore. The app recognises foods in a picture, lets you check the ingredient list, then creates five recipe ideas. A photo gives you a starting point. You decide which ingredients should actually be used.

1. Make your ingredients easy to see

Open your fridge or arrange your ingredients on a clear surface. A well-lit photo with visible foods helps recognition. Hidden packaging, reflections and dark areas can make analysis harder.

You do not need to write a perfect shopping list first. The app suggests ingredients it can recognise in the image. A photo cannot reliably show how much is left inside a closed container or whether food is fresh.

2. Check and edit the ingredient list

Compare the suggested items with the food you have. Remove incorrect entries or foods you do not want to use today. Add ingredients that were not visible in the picture. You can also include optional pantry staples when choosing your cooking preferences.

Eggs, spinach, tomatoes and cheese

Confirm these four ingredients and add suitable pantry staples if needed. The app can develop different recipe ideas from them. Results depend on your choices and the generation. No particular dish is guaranteed.

3. Choose how you want to cook

Set your servings and difficulty. A selected cuisine gives your recipe ideas a direction, such as Italian or Greek. Or ask the app to surprise you.

The app favours suitable traditional dishes. When the available ingredients do not fit well, it may suggest a clearly labelled inspired idea instead. That helps you distinguish a traditional dish from a recipe that takes its cues from that cuisine.

4. Explore five recipe ideas

After a successful generation, five suggestions are ready to explore. Open a recipe and check its ingredients, possible missing items, time estimates, servings and cooking instructions. Recipe images illustrate the idea. Your finished dish may look different.

A photo does not replace checking while you cook. Review quantities and cooking times yourself, and pay attention to allergens. Choose the recipe that fits your time and the ingredients you actually have. Mark favourites and return to recipes in your history later.
