These Terms of Use describe the practical use of Your Fridge – Five Recipes and the key rules for photos, ingredients, recipes and scan credits.

Sign-in and account

The app requires Sign in with Apple. This allows users to use their account, balance and recipe history on another iPhone where technical account association succeeds.

Users must ensure continued access to the Apple account used. The provider can support account access only within the available technical associations.

Photo analysis and ingredient review

After a photo is taken, the app first detects possible ingredients. Users should review this list, deselect wrong ingredients and add missing ingredients before requesting recipe suggestions.

The detection may misinterpret packaging, reflective surfaces, hidden food or unusual perspectives. Good lighting, an open fridge and visible food items improve results but do not guarantee them.

Recipe suggestions

Recipe suggestions are created from confirmed ingredients, language, servings and the selected preparation level.

Despite strict prompts, recipes may suggest basic pantry items such as salt, pepper, water or neutral oil. Users must check before cooking whether all ingredients are actually available and suitable.

Scan credits

A scan may consist of several technical processing steps depending on the app version, for example ingredient detection, recipe generation and recipe image generation. The app displays the remaining balance.

Failures due to missing network connectivity, server outages or clearly unusable photos may be handled differently depending on the technical situation. There is no entitlement to unlimited free retries where the user started a paid analysis run and external costs were incurred.

Prohibited use

  • Do not upload unlawful, offensive, pornographic, violent or discriminatory content.
  • Do not process third-party personal data without authorization.
  • Do not use automated requests, scraping, reverse engineering or circumvention of technical safeguards.
  • Do not use the app for professional food inspection, health advice, allergy advice or medical purposes.

Support and abuse prevention

Users may contact support in case of errors. To process a request, information about time, account, device, screenshot and error description may be required.

The provider may block, limit or review requests if abuse, security risks, unusual use or technical disruptions occur.
